US Healthcare Supply announces the kickoff of its “Let’s Get Moving Milford” campaign. Let’s
Moving Milford, initiated by Jon Letko, owner and CEO of US Healthcare Supply, is aimed to
encourage members of the community to get moving and get active.
Letko has set out on this mission to encourage activity and a healthy lifestyle after watching his father suffer through a painful hip replacement surgery. The surgery and recovery were difficult, and he faced months of extensive rehabilitation. Inspired by his father’s recent health issues, Letko’s vision is to educate the community about the many benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to motivate everyone to get moving! “There is no better way than to start with the children of our community, to teach them about the benefits of making healthy food choices and being active. Starting that as early as possible will enable our children to live healthy and happy lives,” says Letko.
As the warm summer months are upon us, Letko wants to encourage kids of all ages to be more active and get outside with their families, siblings, parents and grandparents, and enjoy a happy, healthy and active lifestyle. To kick off the start of the campaign, US Healthcare Supply will be promoting a contest for all children in the Milford, NJ area from grades K through 8. The goal of the contest is for children to write and draw about activities that they are doing or are planning on doing with their families this summer. Children grades K through 4 can draw or paint a picture depicting fun activities such as dancing, playing sports or playing games. For those kids in grades 5 through 8 that would also like to participate in the contest, they can write and submit an essay (minimum of 250 words) about activities they are doing or are planning on doing with their families. The grand prize, a family four pack of tickets to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, will be awarded for best submission. Prizes will also be awarded per grade level, one ticket to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom per grade level.
US Healthcare Supply wants to get kids moving – and their parents and grandparents too! If you have some fun and interesting ideas as to how your family is already moving and active, we’d love to hear about them. To enter the contest, all you need to do is:
